this song is about the need to escape and the overwhelming desire to disappear. it’s about the feeling you get when you watch one of your favorite comfort movies, disconnecting from the weight of your own reality, even if it’s just for a little while. the heavy realization that maybe your big dreams are closer to being “make believe” than real life. it also has a Shrek reference in the second and third choruses… let me know if you catch that. 🐉 🫏
